The welcome sign for the Welcome Home Maker's Market 2026

Earlier this month the very first “Welcome Home Maker’s Market” was held in Copperopolis by hosts Ashley Arnold and Megan Teske. The Maker’s Market is expected to occur semi-annually and is part of a larger project intended to grow into a space that can bring together our community, including additional events like classes and group gatherings. With a focus on non-toxic, eco-friendly, and reusable products, their hope is to help both people and the planet thrive.

The First Event

The inaugural Welcome Home Maker’s Market hosted a sizable collection of treasures and treats created by local vendors - candles, home goods, preserved foods, fresh bread, greeting cards, and so much more (a full list of vendors can be seen below). Refreshments were offered in the form of a mobile charcuterie cart and lemonade stand, and Sunny Rose Animal Sanctuary even brought

along some furry little friends for a pop-up petting zoo.

All of the vendors contributed to two goodie baskets that were offered in a raffle, with a portion of the raffle proceeds being donated to Sunny Rose Animal Sanctuary. The event was a great place for friends and family to convene and support one another.

What’s Next?

While the first event has come and gone, this ultimately is a project that is more than just a craft fair - it’s the beginning of an entire community initiative providing the opportunity to bring together crafters, homemakers, skill sharers, and more to cultivate a space that brings intention to the forefront of our lives.
